How to become a wingnut darling by Badtux the Snarky Penguin

Click here for the original posting

Let’s say you’re a wingnut Representative from the Old South. You got a nigger President. Worst yet, you got an opponent breathin’ down your throat who came within a few thousand votes of getting you thrown out of office despite your opponent having less money for his campaign than the average Mercedes Benz owner spends on caviar each year. You need money, you need publicity, and you need it fast. What do you do?

Well, you live in Crackerville, and everybody there hates niggers. So what do you need to do? Well… that’s simple. While the President of the United States is speaking to Congress, jump out of your seat and shout, at the top of your voice, “LIAR!”.

Presto chango, you just went from being an about-to-be-voted-out has-been to hero of the wingnut base, a sizable number of whom live in your district and hate niggers and spics and thus love the fact that you just called a nigger a liar (while lying in the process of doing so, but hey, let’s not talk truth, what matters is truthiness!). Expect Rep. Joe Wilson to appear on Faux News multiple times over the next few weeks as their new hero of outrageous wingnuttery now that Sarah Palin is moving off into the sunset and Michelle Bachman is getting old (literally) and too crazy even for wingnuts to stand. And remember, if a Republican politician can tap into this wingnut base, he no longer needs the rich money men who traditionally have elected Presidents. Obama raised as much money from individuals via this new Internet-driven marketing and funding mechanism as he did from the traditional Democratic fundraisers aimed at the rich, and so the rich money men decide to keep their wallets closed because they don’t want to be associated with this kind of lunacy? No problem… just twitter and blog around, and voila!

Of course, this is just a recipe for further labeling the Republican Party as a party of lunatics, conspiracy theorists, racists, and gun fetishists who stroke their guns while masturbating every evening, but hey, that’s not Joe Wilson’s problem. He just needs to get elected in 2010. And he just improved his chances of doing so, given the nature of his district. So anyhow, I gotta applaud Joe Wilson: He may have just helped his re-election chances immensely, but he also just helped the Republican brand go even further into the gutter. Bravo, Joe Wilson, for your fine efforts in electing more Democrats in saner parts of the country!

Clorox Corporation (Brita’s parent company), pulls Glenn Beck’s advertisements.

August 20, 2009

This is in response to your recent communication regarding Clorox Company advertising. Thank you for contacting us, we very much appreciate hearing from consumers as The Clorox Company remains committed to quality broadcasting. We pride ourselves in being a responsible advertiser and have established long-standing and strict standards for the selection of television programming. Per our standards, we do not advertise in programs that display exploitive sex or violence; treat ethnic, religious or political groups in a disparaging manner; present facts inaccurately or distort them to blatantly partisan advantage; and treat individuals or groups in a demeaning manner.

Clorox holds true to our advertising standards and we hold true to our nation’s heritage of free expression of political opinions. However, consistent with our standards, we do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show hosts. After a comprehensive review of political talks shows across the spectrum, at this time we have made a decision not to advertise on political talk shows.

Today’s television programming environment is extremely challenging for responsible advertisers. However, The Clorox Company will continue to exercise special care in all program and station selection. We do not want to support programming that is in conflict with our programming standards.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.

Yee Haw! Talk about free enterprise in motion!! Just take a look at the sponsors who have withdrawn their advertisements from Glenn Beck’s show.  I give credit to the patriotic Americans who believe that evil MUST obliterated and that any whack-job that incites violence against our beloved President should see consequences. Members of my family have not given their lives in military service to our Country to have crazies provoke marginal, pathetic people to act violently against the highest officer of our Country.

I commend these fine American companies who refuse to be drawn into the gutter of hatred and violence!  I give credit to these patriotic Americans who wrote emails, letters and made phone calls to encourage these companies not to encourage hatred, venom and violence.   KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Chickenshit “”

August 11, 2009

A true chickenshit is someone who posts a comment on a site when they disagree, but they’re too cowardly and embarrassed to allow feedback or a response.

There fore, Mrs. “” I am not posting your comment.  Normally, I would.  But since your are a coward (and I am presuming your patriot husband IS NOT), I hope someone who knows you Googles your email address and lets you know your true character has emerged online as a CHICKENSHIT.

Glenn Beck says, “Obama is a racist.”

July 30, 2009

Once again, Glenn Beck and the FOX NETWORK do not disappoint the below-average, red-blooded American. Good ‘ole Glenn didn’t have to stutter to make his point.  He sat right there on Fox News and pronounced that our beloved President, Barack Obama, is a RACIST.  And all the Conservative wackos just stood up in their living rooms and jumped up and down for JOY!!!  There.  Someone finally spoke the truth and called that nigger exactly what he really is….a racist.

Of course the network immediately attempted to distance themselves from Glenn Beck with their sterilized statement that he does not represent the views of the network….HA!  What a FARCE!!!!  OF COURSE Glenn Beck spouts the views of the Fox Network…that’s exactly what he is paid to do.   And the conservatives have just been pacing, wringing their hands and waiting anxiously for someone of “true” character and veracity to speak up and call that fake President what he really is.

EXCEPT that ANY and EVERY person who reads, thinks and has the ability to reason knows that Glenn Beck is simply leading a desperate attempt to stir up and incite violent actions against the highest ELECTED official in our land, President Barack Obama .   Now that the Conservatives and those “randy Republicans” find their numbers slipping in the polls and they’ve lost the White House, they HAVE to get desperate, down and dirty to attract attention to themselves.  This is especially true now that Cheney and the little shrub aren’t there sitting on their thumbs anymore.

When you can’t focus your Republican Party leadership on attracting minority voters, developing a platform that American voters want, or showing integrity, then all you have left is to slander, threaten, incite terrorists and reduce your actions to pathetic name-calling.

Glenn Beck is frustrated that HIS political party cannot step up and DO SOMETHING (despite the fact that they were in the Oval Office and had the majority of Congress for 8 long years).  You see, now the Repugnants are having to WORK in Congress, are desperately searching high and low for any leadership, see the consequences of supporting lazy Bush and Cheney, and have to look at the WHITE House being dirtied by a nigger.  They are frustrated beyond belief.  So, the mouthpiece of the FAUX Network can only resort to name-calling.  Yeah, just like the 3rd graders in Elementary School.

If only we could put Glenn Beck, FOX Network, and the Republican leadership in time out!  That was the place in school where troublemakers couldn’t TALK, bully their peers or lie to the teacher (or about the teacher).  But since there is no time out for the ignorant, hypocritical, Republican sore-losers the one thing I CAN do is to write to the sponsors of that network and let them know I’ll boycott their products and services as long as they advertise on the network.

But alas, no….through the years we’ve learned that the network whore (Beck) won’t be silenced.  While pretending to distance themselves from Beck in public, FOX network will still pay the big bucks under the table to him encouraging him to spout lies and inflame their narrow-minded listeners.  Glenn Beck will stop at nothing to prove he ain’t no Walter Cronkite.

Forget Islamic Terrorists…We have our own American terrorists

July 27, 2009

I hate it when my fears become reality.  This weekend my spouse and I had two lengthy discussions regarding the venom and hatred wingnuts are spewing about The President of the United States.  Comments from pastors, TV celebrities, political wannabees and yes, American terrorists, are increasingly caustic, derogatory and even praying for harm to come to our beloved President.

For months I’ve been concerned that the comments and hatred from conservative crazies will incite a fellow crazy person to violence against our beloved President.  In March, the lumpy, drug addict and criminal drug doctor shopper, Rush Limbaugh, proclaimed proudly that he “wishes that Obama fails”.  Never mind that this drug addict “thinks” he speaks for most Americans (he does not).  The crux here is that the man uses his radio-pulpit to incite hatred and distrust of the highest ELECTED official in our land.  Eventually hateful words breed hateful actions.  Will Limbaugh then use his excuse of  an addled mind confused by “drug addiction” to deny responsibility for the consequences of his words when he incites someone to harm our beloved President?  Aw, you know his lawyers will salivate at the prospect to earn millions to defend Lumpy Limbaugh from any type of responsibility for his incendiary words.  They have certainly done that while defending his deeds.  (See article in the Washington Post  And besides, we all know that the loser, Lumpy Limbaugh, will stand staunchly behind that First Amendment proclaiming that he was only practicing free speech.

Next I see that besides criminal drug addicted radio announcers we now have pastors praying, hoping for the death of our President.  WHO NEEDS ISLAMIC TERRORISTS WHEN WE HAVE THESE TWO AMERICANS willing to do their job?

In June, the OC Weekly published a report “that Rev. Wiley Drake of First Southern Baptist Church in Buena Park not only declared last week that the murder of Kansas abortion Dr. George Tiller had been the answer to his “imprecatory” prayers, but that the so-called Man of God later announced he’d made a similar prayer of death for President Barack Obama.”

The article further states: ‘Drake said on the June 2 Fox News Radio broadcast that he didn’t understand why people were upset with his comments, which were quoted from a webcast of his own daily radio talk show.

“Imprecatory prayer is agreeing with God, and if people don’t like that, they need to talk to God,” Drake told invisible host Alan Colmes. “God said it, I didn’t. I was just agreeing with God.”

Asked if there are others for whom Drake is praying “imprecatory prayer,” Drake hesitated before answering that there are several. “The usurper that is in the White House is one, B. Hussein Obama,” he said.

Colmes later pressed Drake to ensure he had heard the preacher right.

“Are you praying for his death?” Colmes asked.

“Yes,” Drake replied.

“So you’re praying for the death of the president of the United States?”

Colmes asked if he was concerned he might be placed on a Secret Service or FBI watch list. “I think it’s appropriate to pray the Word of God,” Drake answered. “I’m not saying anything. What I am doing is repeating what God is saying, and if that puts me on somebody’s list, then I’ll just have to be on their list.”

“You would like for the president of the United States to die?” Colmes asked once more.

“If he does not turn to God and does not turn his life around, I am asking God to enforce imprecatory prayers that are throughout the Scripture that would cause him death, that’s correct.” ‘ (See the entire OC WEEKLY article:

FEAR ISLAMIC TERRORISTS, HELL NO! We’ve got AMERICANS that will lead us in prayer for the destruction of our ELECTED leader….and who knows, if their prayers don’t get answered promptly, or their “meds” DO kick in, they may be frustrated AMERICAN TERRORISTS after all!!  I’m a former Southern Baptist, and now you know why I left that denomination….hatred in a can, every Sunday, yup, no extra charge for that!

But, I digress. My real motivation for writing this entry is to warn righteous Americans (those who actually read their Bibles and pray for their government leaders as instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-3) and those who may believe in another God but love America.  Americans who love their country, who hope for a successful and secure future  should be vigilant to oppose the Limbaughs and Drakes of our nation.  In America we can disagree with our political leadership in open and honest discourse.  But folks, that does not include inciting others to harm or destroy our President.

Be vigilant to protect our American values, our Constitutional rights and our unique freedoms.  But if and when this beloved President is someday harmed (and the good Lord knows I do NOT want this to happen) – just know that your decision to speak without moderation and good sense will be responsible for any and all acts of hatred and terrorism that is brought forth.

God bless and protect our President, Barack Obama, and God bless America.

Sarah Palin – May she vanish into obscurity!!!

July 10, 2009

I’ve devoted space on this blog to the former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin.  Now that she has resigned you would think she would vanish into the private sector even obscurity, never to be heard from again.  But no.  We continue to see her name and her assinine comments in the blogosphere, newspapers and the evening news.  What a shame!  Once again, ya can’t trust her. It’s obvious her resignation was just a ploy for more attention.  Hence a look at the narcissistic Palin and the latest in her round of  “Look at me, Look at me!!! Don’t forget me!!!” positioning for attention.

In today’s, respected blogger, Joe Conason, gives us the background on how the GOP operatives chose Palin for McCain’s VP nominee.  Go here to read the full story:

In today’s Yahoo News there’s report of a news conference held by Levi Johnston, former fiancee’ of Palin’s daughter and father of her child.  Levi speculates she resigned because the book deals and offers for television shows will be more lucrative than remaining in the Alaskan statehouse.   That makes perfect sense if you take into account the “Look at me! Look at me! Pay attention to me” stance Palin has taken since her first coming-out last Fall.

We only THOUGHT we would be hearing the last of this narcissistic, Sarah Palin.  Unfortunately, it looks like she’s going to hang around.

What Republicans Say

July 8, 2009

This poem was written by a friend.   I agreed to post it on  my blog because I think he clearly states how Republicans are viewed by a great number of people in the United States and around the world.  It’s a sad statement on what a once-great political party has come to stand for.  The saddest part is that their members really don’t care to change how they are perceived, but they really don’t care to change their behavior because it displays the following true values.

What Republicans Say….

What Republicans say:
“Family values”
What they mean:
“I value my family; to hell with yours.”

What Republicans say:
“Personal responsibility”
What they mean:
“Rich people are responsible; if you’re poor, it must be because you’re irresponsible.”

What Republicans say:
“Fiscal responsibility”
What they mean:
“Obliterating the budget with war and tax breaks”

What Republicans say:
“Fair and balanced”
What they mean:
“Biased in my favor”

What Republicans say:
What they mean:
“Human life is valuable and ought to be protected before birth (unless it’s in China, because, after all, we like our Walmart crap to be really cheap); after that, it’s your own damn problem. Unless you’re terminally ill and want to die; then you have to live. Oh, and except if you commit a crime, even if you’re not yet of legal age. Then it’s death for you.”

What Republicans say:
“Spreading Democracy”
What they mean:

What Republicans say:
“Our allies abroad”
What they mean:
“Communist China (the West’s great-big sweat shop which has reportedly forced women into abortions) and Saudi Arabia, an Islamic Monarchy”

What Republicans say:
“Border security”
What they mean:
“We need to find a way to allow just enough Mexican pseudo-slaves in here without giving them any sort of legal status.”

What Republicans say about healthcare:
“Protecting choice and freedom”
What they mean:
“Protecting my choice and freedom to make sure you’re denied care.”
